Hyundai is one of the most trusted names in the heavy industries. This Fortune 500 company also happens to manufacture Tier 1 solar panels that are widely used all over the world. Hyundai offers a total solution of solar and PV modules in markets such as Europe, North America, Australia, and Asia. Hyundai solar panels have been installed in Australian houses for over 10 years now. Based on our experience installing Hyundai solar panels for our residential customers in Sydney, we are happy with the quality, performance and durability of these panels.
Both LID (Light Induced Degradation) and PID (Potential Induced Degradation) are strictly eliminated to ensure higher actual yield during lifetime.
Lower internal cell current results in superior performance in hot climates.
Passed various tests under harsh environmental conditions such as ammonia and salt mist.
Tempered glass and reinforced frame design withstand rigorous weather conditions such as heavy snow and strong wind.
Hyundai’s Research and Development Centre is an accredited test laboratory of both UL and VDE global safety certifications.
Hyundai Energy Solutions have a market leading product warranty for all our solar panels.
Shingled modules are produced by laser cutting high performance solar cells into 5 strips. Electrically Conductive Adhesive is applied to each strip and is then overlapped in a shingled arrangement in the module.
Hot spots are high temperature spots on your panels that result in decreased efficiency. Hyundai shingled cells carry just 1/5 the electrical current of the original full cell, meaning that every circuit operates at a lower current and hence a lower temperature. Why does this matter for your solar panels?
a) Excellent performance in high temperatures
b) Reduces the risk of hot spots
Shingled modules use Electrically Conductive Adhesive instead of traditional solder ribbon to electrically connect the cells. This reduces stress on the cells during manufacturing. In solar panels that use traditional solder ribbons, the ribbons expand and contract throughout the day as the weather transitions from hot to cold. The silicon cells however, don’t follow suit. This causes a stress in the panels, because one component expands and contracts while the other does not.
Hyundai shingled module cell joints have superior flexibility compared to standard solder ribbon with the Electrically Conductive Adhesive absorbing bending energy. During periods of high wind or under mechanical loads such as snow, Hyundai modules are less likely to develop cell cracks that hamper long term reliability.
Nearly 100% of the Hyundai solar panel module is covered with solar cells to deliver higher power and outstanding efficiency. Higher efficiency means that less total solar panel area is required to deliver a given power output, leading to savings on balance of systems components and labour.
