What is a Virtual Power Plant?

A virtual power plant (VPP) remotely combines a network of independent energy resources (like solar batteries) into a network that can provide a stable supply of power. By connecting a network of home solar batteries, virtual power plants have the resources to quickly feed power back into the grid whenever it is needed, supply homes with power & reduce dependence on fossil fuels.  This network is called a virtual “power plant” because it can be coordinated and managed like a traditional power plant. RK Solar is in partnership with Discover Energy to give our customers the power to take control of their solar energy.

Your solar inverter is connected to a specialised software that will monitor the energy demands from the electricity grid. Low Feed-In-Tariffs

Over the years, the feed-in-tariff rates offered by energy retailers have significantly dropped.
