PROJECT SUMMARY

Colquhoun’s is a fifth-generation family company that manufactures bags and sacks.
Established in 1888, Colquhoun’s has moved with the times. This includes environmental matters. They have made most of their products recyclable, with many also biodegradable, as well as streamlining the design to use less material but remain just as sturdy.
This commitment to the environment has followed through in their energy supply. Colquhoun’s has been installing solar on their regional branches in Australia over the last few years.
Their NSW branch installed solar with RK Solar in 2018. They can expect to see a reduction in CO2 emissions of 32.8 tonnes, yearly. The return on investment is 24.92% with annual savings of $6,914.4.
Robert Colquhoun says “Very happy with our solar & lights upgrade! Saved $1,000 on our first bill and that was not even with the solar on for the full bill. The energy consultant was great and the project scoping was 1st class.
Installation was fast and efficient. If you guys did work in Brisbane we would use you up there as well!”
A 28kW system was installed in their Brisbane branch in 2019.
