Sydney Sewing Supplies stitches up on electricity costs
PROJECT SUMMARY
Sydney Sewing Supplies stocks a veritable raft of sewing materials. They chose solar to offset their daytime electricity usage. As an established business, they were looking to bed down more of their costs and establish certainty.
RK Solar was awarded the tender by Sydney Sewing Supplies in 2017 to install this system.
SOLAR AND CERTAINTY
By calculating how much energy usage can be offset by solar against the cost and lifetime of the solar system, you can work out the ‘levelised cost of electricity’. This locks in a price that is also far lower than grid price. It enables businesses to expand their work in the same facility while not spending any more on electricity.
25 year calculations are made based on testing on the performance of panels through accelerated aging, as well as solar irradiation levels.
