When it comes to selecting the right model of solar panels and inverters, there are a number of factors we take into consideration:
We offer standard and premium solar system options. This allows customers to choose a package that fits their budget.
All the solar products and brands we use are highly reliable and have excellent performance.
We work with manufacturers that have a proven history of providing installers and their customers with excellent support for service requests, warranty claims and troubleshooting.
Like any electrical appliance, there is a possibility that your solar system may encounter some issues a few years down the road. When this happens, both your installer and the manufacturer must be able to provide a resolution quickly. Our recommended solar panels come with a massive 25-year warranty on product and performance. Our recommended Enphase microinverters come with a 10-year warranty.
Hyundai is one of the most trusted names in the heavy industries. Hyundai solar panels have been installed in Australian houses for over 10 years now. Based on our experience installing Hyundai solar panels for our residential customers in Sydney, we are happy with the quality, performance and durability of these panels.
Hyundai’s UF Series panels are equipped with M3+ PERC Shingled Technology which provides ultra-high efficiency with better performance in low irradiation. Shingled modules are produced by laser cutting high performance solar cells into 5 strips. Electrically Conductive Adhesive is applied to each strip and is then overlapped in a shingled arrangement in the module.
Lower Hot Spot Risk
Hot spots are high temperature spots on your panels that result in decreased efficiency. Hyundai shingled cells carry just 1/5 the electrical current of the original full cell, meaning that every circuit operates at a lower current and hence a lower temperature.
Why does this matter for your solar panels?
a) Excellent performance in high temperatures.
b) Reduces the risk of hot spots.
Higher Reliability
Shingled modules use Electrically Conductive Adhesive instead of traditional solder ribbon to electrically connect the cells. This reduces stress on the cells during manufacturing. In solar panels that use traditional solder ribbons, the ribbons expand and contract throughout the day as the weather transitions from hot to cold. The silicon cells however, don’t follow suit. This causes a stress in the panels, because one component expands and contracts while the other does not.
Improved Load Resilience
Hyundai shingled module cell joints have superior flexibility compared to standard solder ribbon with the Electrically Conductive Adhesive absorbing bending energy. During periods of high wind or under mechanical loads such as snow, Hyundai modules are less likely to develop cell cracks that hamper long term reliability.
Better Space Utilisation
Nearly 100% of the Hyundai solar panel module is covered with solar cells to deliver higher power and outstanding efficiency. Higher efficiency means that less total solar panel area is required to deliver a given power output, leading to savings on balance of systems components and labour.
Sungrow is known as the world’s most bankable inverter brand with over 224 GW installed worldwide as of 2021. Why did we use a Sungrow inverter for this installation?
