Project 1 – Millers Point, NSW 2000
We delivered a state-of-the-art 47.15 kW solar system, precisely designed to meet the energy demands of the office building. This custom solution utilises 82 high-efficiency Trina Vertex 575W Panels, paired with a Sungrow SG50CX inverter, ensuring optimal performance and long-term reliability. The system was designed to handle the high energy consumption of building requirements, making it a perfect fit for the needs of this site.
Configured as a three-phase, grid-tied system, this setup provides enhanced energy stability, which is critical in large-scale commercial environments. This design maximises the solar power generation potential while allowing the office building to draw from the grid during periods of low solar production, offering an uninterrupted energy supply.
The installation covers 409 square meters of tin roofing, carefully positioned to capture maximum sunlight throughout the day. This layout is designed to optimise energy efficiency, ensuring the system operates at peak performance while minimising energy loss. Every detail of the installation was thoughtfully planned, taking into account the office building’s unique structure and location to ensure the best possible results.
This solar system not only significantly cuts energy costs but also establishes the office building as an eco-friendly business. By decreasing dependence on conventional energy sources, it eliminates ongoing energy expenses while reducing the building’s carbon footprint. Project 2 – North St Marys, NSW 2760
For the Train Station Head Office in North St Marys, we designed a robust 39.5 kW solar system tailored to meet the high energy demands of the building. The system is equipped with 79 x Trina TSM-DE18M(II)-500 Panels, paired with a Sungrow SGR-SG30KCX inverter, ensuring optimal performance and long-lasting reliability. This configuration is designed to handle the energy load of a large office building while maintaining energy efficiency.
The system operates as a three-phase, grid-tied setup, providing the office building with stability and flexibility. The grid-tied design allows the building to draw power from the grid when needed, while also benefiting from solar-generated energy during peak hours, reducing overall energy costs and reliance on external sources. This balance ensures that the train station office building enjoys consistent energy supply regardless of solar conditions, providing a dependable solution for every needs.
With 572 square meters of tin roofing available, we optimised the layout to capture the maximum amount of sunlight throughout the day. By positioning the solar panels strategically across this large surface area, we ensured that the system operates at peak efficiency, harnessing the full potential of solar power. This increased solar capture drives down electricity expenses, allowing the business to significantly lower its overall costs.
In addition to the immediate cost savings, this sustainable solar solution is crucial for supporting the Train Station Head offices long-term energy objectives. Lower energy costs contribute to improved financial stability, while the shift to renewable energy aligns with a commitment to eco-friendly practices. Through this system, the Train Station Head Office is able to reduce its carbon footprint, contributing to global sustainability efforts and promoting clean, renewable energy. Project 3: Ashfield, NSW
The 30.24 kW solar system installed at Ashfield is a prime example of efficient energy generation. This system incorporates 56 Seraphim 540W Panels paired with a Sun Grow SG30CX inverter, configured as a three-phase grid-tied system. Designed to meet the needs of this large building, the system covers 177 square meters of tin roofing, strategically placed to maximise sunlight capture throughout the day. With this configuration, we have ensured optimal energy production, even during periods of fluctuating sunlight.
The system is projected to generate 38.72 MWh of clean, renewable energy annually, leading to AUD 5,376 in yearly savings on electricity costs. These savings will provide the building with long-term financial benefits, making the investment in solar not only environmentally responsible but economically smart.
Beyond the financial savings, the system’s environmental impact is equally significant. By reducing reliance on grid power, this solar setup helps cut 36 tons of carbon emissions per year, significantly contributing to a cleaner and more sustainable environment. This reduction in emissions plays a key role in supporting Australia’s renewable energy targets and reducing the building’s overall carbon footprint.
This project was successfully delivered in collaboration with Belvia Services, with RK Solar’s expert team ensuring the process ran smoothly from start to finish. We optimised the installation process, minimising disruptions to the buildings and ensuring the project was completed on time, meeting both energy goals and building needs.
