25.5kW Solar Installed at Petrol station in Abermain,NSW

PROJECT SUMMARY

Metro Abermain is located in the region of Cessnock. As one of the petrol stations which have established a mini-mart, they have high energy costs from running freezers, extra lights, air conditioning, and of course the pumps throughout the day.

Looking to reduce some costs, the owners decided to invest in solar.

We proposed a 25kW system, which would produce at average of 100kWh per day.

The inverter was overclocked by 20% to get the most out of the early morning and late afternoon sun.

Metro Abermain’s system will reduce their electricity bill by around 50% and has a payback period of 3.3 years.

This system was installed in late 2015.

We have worked with owner Karsan Kerai across many petrol station projects, helping to reduce his operating costs across the board.
