How Hillcrest Mushroom saves $22,000 every year with solar
PROJECT SUMMARY
Hillcrest Mushroom has specialised in the industrial production of mushroom for more than 20 years. They sell mushrooms to all the major grocery chains and some boutique chains.
As a mushroom incubator, their factory operates 7 days a week, 24 hours a day. This makes their average electricity consumption around 2.3MWh a day.
We proposed TrinaSolar panels for their cost competitive cost per watt & reliability. and SolarEdge DC Optimisers to minimise the effect of shading and maximise solar output.
The system is projected to generate 390kWh daily on average, and reduce their electricity bill by 19%. The anticipated pay-off time is 4.7 years.
UPDATE April 2019: Hillcrest Mushroom are now adding another 30kW to further offset their electricity costs with solar.
Solar is a great way for companies to control their power costs by locking in a price. This creates certainty and reduces the impact of volatile and rising grid energy prices.
