Precision CNC Shop in St Marys Installs 62kW Solar System

PROJECT SUMMARY

Crown Tooling is a precision CNC design and engineering shop. They specialise in CNC milling, turning, grinding and dynamic balancing.

Established in 1985, the workshop is based in St Mary’s. They manufacture tools and spare parts for the railways, aerospace, mining, transport, racing, timber, and hydraulics.

Crown Tooling was looking for an effective way to reduce their electricity costs. We talked to them about solar, and in particular SolarEdge, and it’s built-in module-level monitoring, which has made any maintenance that may need to be conducted a breeze.

We brought in a cherry picker to install the panels on the vaulted roof.
