Gurdwara Sahib Glenwood Saves $34K with Solar Power

PROJECT SUMMARY

The Australian Sikh Association manages the Gurudwara Sahib Temple in Glenwood. This building is a hub for Sikh worshippers in the Greater Western and North-Western Regions of the Sydney metro area. It hosts both religious and community activities all year old.

To offset their electricity costs from their activities, which include a Punjabi school and a communal kitchen, the Australian Sikh Association elected to install solar on their premises.

Their system is set to save them $34,584 per year and be paid off in 2.4 years. The system also offsets 187.1 tonnes of CO2 emissions yearly.
