The RK Solar team recently had the opportunity to install a 29.5kW commercial solar system for a high-density property in Sydney.

Solar Panel Installation: Challenges
Installations on high-rise buildings can be challenging. Things like space, mobility for installers, and strong winds are factors that make it tougher than a normal residential installation. One of the biggest challenges that we had in this job, was taking all 59 panels from the ground floor to the rooftop.
The parking lot area and driveway space made it suitable to be used only by pedestrians and cars and not bigger vehicles like a forklift. So, it was out of the question for us to get the forklift to do the heavy lifting to the rooftop.
Our team parked the company truck about 60 meters from the building. We carried all 59 solar panels and other components into the building, took them up to the highest floor via the building lift, and then proceeded to carry the panels through a narrow set of stairs to the rooftop area.
Our electricians also needed to safely connect the cables from the rooftop, all the way to the ground floor, where the electrical room is.
